Women and Children's of Barrie
The Women & Children's Shelter of Barrie has been providing shelter and support services to abused women and children since 1981. The agency consists of a 27-bed shelter location and outreach offices. Approximately 1,000 women and children are assisted by the agency annually. In addition to shelter, staff provide individual and group counselling, legal information and support, court support, information about violence against women, referrals to other community and social services, and public education in the community.

This program, which operates in McLean County, is designed to create safe, nurturing families free from violence and control through free and confidential services. Haven House
For 40 years, Haven House has been working to prevent domestic violence/intimate partner violence and promote peace in the home. Services are based on a continuum of care ranging from a fully-inclusive emergency shelter in a confidential location to long-term transitional housing. The continuum of care includes an extensive counseling and advocacy program for all individuals regardless of gender that includes many satellite locations throughout Erie County. Haven House is a recognized leader in the provision of services and staff are available to meet with groups and organizations to create new and exciting partnerships and collaborations.
Haven House serves victims and survivors of domestic and intimate partner violence ages 16 and older, and their children.

Cairns Regional Domestic Violence Services
Our vision is to help our community live happier and healthier lives by challenging the social structures that maintain domestic and family violence and by providing a comprehensive and client centred quality service to all vulnerable clients.
In 2009, the CRDVS provided crisis support and on-going counselling to 1,764 people affected by domestic and family violence and our child counsellor provided counselling to 87 children.
The demand for services from people affected by domestic violence continues to increase and the need to raise additional revenue to meet those demands is paramount. The CRDVS is collecting funds to help adults and their childen escaping domestic violence with financial and material assistance.

CADA - Citizens Against Domestic & Sexual Abuse
CADA is Island County's domestic violence and sexual assault agency. We provide free, confidential assistance for survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, rape, child sexual abuse and sexual harassment. Services include crisis intervention, advocacy-based counseling, legal advocacy, medical advocacy, emergency shelter, support groups, parenting classes and community education and prevention.
Founded in 1979, CADA is accredited by the Washington State Office of Crime Victims Advocacy as a Community Sexual Assault Program and is a member of the Washington Coalition of Sexual Assault Programs, Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Washington State Homelessness Coalition, United Way of Island County, and Oak Harbor, Langley, Coupeville and Stanwood Chambers of Commerce.

Safe Nest
Tracing roots back to 1977, SafeNest was incorporated as Temporary Assistance for Women (TAW) when the agency opened the first shelter house for abused women and children in Southern Nevada and launched the 24-hour crisis hotline.
Over the next 20 years, with the help of individual donations, legislation and, state-wide partnerships., TAW was able to add more shelters, open donation and counseling centers, provide critical legal assistance and expand programming.
In 1996 TAW adopted the name "Safe Nest" and opened additional offices in Laughlin, Mesquite and Boulder City.
Today SafeNest is continuing to innovate and grow under the leadership of Liz Ortenburger, Chief Executive Officer. SafeNest has a staff of 91 full and part-time staff dedicated to creating social change and preventing domestic violence in Clark County.
